Getting to Altenberg
The AHORN Waldhotel Altenberg is located just 40 km from Dresden – idyllically nestled in the Ore Mountains in Saxony. Travelling by car
Note: Please enter “Hauptstraße Schellerhau” into your sat-nav.
Coming from Chemnitz, Leipzig or Dresden, take the A4 to the Dresden-West junction and continue on the A17 towards Prague/Pirna. Take the Bad Gottleuba exit and follow the signs via the S174/S178 to Altenberg.
In Altenberg, head towards Schellerhau. At the Botanical Garden, stay on the main road – after approx. 500 metres, the AHORN Waldhotel Altenberg is on the left-hand side.

Bus & train
Coming from Dresden, take bus number 360 to Altenberg. There, change to bus number 367 heading towards “Kipsdorf” and get off at the “Schellerhau, Hotel Stephanshöhe” stop. The AHORN Waldhotel Altenberg is located right next to this stop.

A 22 kW charging point is available right next to the AHORN Waldhotel Altenberg. The eMH3 Twin model has two charging points, allowing two vehicles to be charged simultaneously at 11 kW each. Please note that no charging cable is provided on site – so please bring your own.
Charging time depends on the capacity of your vehicle’s battery and usually takes around two to four hours. The charging point is operated by ENGIE Deutschland, one of Europe’s leading providers of charging solutions. Charging cards from various providers are accepted; the range is being continuously expanded.
