Saxon Switzerland is situated in the Erzgebirge / Krušnohoří mining region, and it is no coincidence that it is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. You will struggle to find more varied hiking trails anywhere else in Saxony. Along the way, you will usually also learn a bit about the history of the Erzgebirge, particularly regarding mining.

Up to 22 regions, each with plenty of sights, lie at your feet here. For more experienced hikers, there are also routes featuring climbing sections, particularly in the heart of the Elbe Sandstone Mountains. A true Erzgebirge experience, so to speak!
